The Why, Where and How of Effective Networking

Networking is simply about making connections and building relationships with people who are committed to being mutually supportive.

If only it were that simple.

I’ve met so many people who find the idea of meeting strangers, talking about themselves and what they do and how they might be able to help completely daunting.

Others enjoy it but often fail to recognise that there’s a skill to be learnt.

That’s why I run my workshops, to help you and your team get the best out of any networking situation.

    Your in-house workshop

My workshops are currently run in-house so that I can tailor the content to meet the needs of your team and/or of your organisation. Here are some, but by no means all, of the topics you might choose to include:

    • Understanding what networking is and exploring when, where and how
    • Developing your networking strategy, knowing what to ask for and when
    • How to prepare your engaging introduction
    • How to prepare and present a networking ‘minute’
    • How to walk into a room looking and feeling confident and approachable
    • How to make the most of any networking situation
    • How to follow up and sustain any relationships built
    • How to enter a room with confidence
    • How to open and close conversations
    • Overview of different personality types
    • Overview of how to use LinkedIn to supplement your offline networking

Your workshop will be tailored to the specific needs of your organisation.
